Carrera 4: PDAS valve bleed without diagnostic tool
Here´s how I did PDAS bleeding without a hammer:
1. Jack up rear of car, ensure to use stands so the car is stable, not only resting on the jack! 2. Turn ignition on 3. Make sure brake fluid is at/above max 4. Get someone to sit in your car, for turning the 4wd lock switch 5. Slide underneeth the rear of the car, and on the grarbox, a bit in front of the rear wheels there is a hydralic valve with a brake-pipe entering and a bleed-bolt above 6. Fasten a hose to the tip of the bleed-bolt and the other end into a bottle to collect the fluid. 7. Tell the person in the car to turn the switch clockwise (turn on the 4wd locking). 8. Loosen the 11mm bleed-bolt to bleed the system underneath the car. 9. Close the bleed bolt once the feed stops 10. Tell the person in the car to turn the switch anti-clockwise (disable 4wd locking) 11. Repeat #7 to #10 19 times so that the total is 20 times bleeding. 12. Ensure the brake fluid is at max with ignition on.
I also bled the pressure-bulb at the bottom with the spare wheel, and there seemed to be some air in there too. Mounting Keyless Entry on a 1991 Porsche 964 C4 1. Remove passenger seat 2. Loosen the alarm-box, 2 philips screws 3. Remove 5-10cm isolation from the cables entering the yellow contact to the alarm box 4. Find the following cables: - Brown/Green (older models have Brown/Orange): This cable opens the central locking when connected to earth - Brown/Blue: This cable locks the central locking when connected to earth 5. Unisolate a small bit of the mentioned cables and solder the cables from the remote control unit to theese two cables. Note: The remote control has to be configured to send earth-signal to the alarm unit. 6. Constant 12V and earth was found in an unused plug lying next to the alarm unit. 7. Close the doors and test the locking mechanism, keep a key outside the car in case it locks and does not unlock! Note: If the keyless control supports connection to turn-lights, use the following cables from the black plug on the Alarm box: - Black/White: left turn-lights
- Black/Green: right turn-lights
Theese need 12V blink-signal from the keyless control box.
A little modification to the OEM key-unit, and it´s fitted to the remote control: |
